Art has been a part of my life from my earliest childhood years. My father was an artist who owned a small printing company. He was able to keep me in drawing paper for years, and spent hours drawing with me.
As I grew older, he continued to encourage my interest and love of art. He found lessons for me with local artists in various disciplines. I learned from landscape artists, retired Disney animators, and wildlife artists, which gave me a broad base of experience of various techniques and materials.
I studied art in college in my 20’s and then returned later to acquire a degree in Art Therapy at Converse College in SC. I have also had a successful mural painting business, illustrated children’s books, and maintain an art studio in my home.
Most recently I have enjoyed collaborating with Moonkist Jewelry in creating a unique line of hand painted jewelry in copper and brass.
As a painter I find inspiration in the beauty that surrounds me in the natural world. I take great joy in the processes of painting. I love collaboration and sharing that beauty with others. Let’s have a conversation about the ideas you are excited about!
